Talk: Reflections on Advice and Information Services Work – 30 Years of Trying to Apply Technology
Gareth Morgan is the founder and Managing Director of Ferret Information Systems, a UK based company which specializes in consultancy and the development and support of applications in areas of advice provision, social welfare, and law. Ferret carries out consultancy for governments, local authorities and other organizations in areas including welfare reform, advice utilization, digital standards and related topics.
Gareth Morgan is also the vice chair of the board of husITa – the Human Services Information Technology Association. husITa is an international community of interest and a registered non-profit organization with the mission to promote the ethical and effective use of information technology for human betterment.
He has vast experience working in the information and advice services industry and has worked on numerous projects that have received awards for the use of information technology for service to society. He speaks and writes widely on welfare reform, social security, the practice and technology of advice work, and on the application of mobile technology, in the UK and abroad.
