USJ students visit UNU-CS and discuss research

USJ Students Visit to UNU-CS

October 31, 2016

On Monday, 31 October 2016, a group of students from the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) visited the United Nations University Institute on Computing and Society (UNU-CS). The students, from the Faculty of Administration and Leadership (Department of Business Administration), were led by their Government Studies Programme professor, Senior Lecturer Emil Marques. During the visit, the students were first introduced to the United Nations University as a whole, and to the Institute on Computing and Society in particular. Following the introduction, UNU-CS researchers gave short presentations on their areas of work and projects to the students. This was then followed by small group discussion and activities led by the researchers. On top of this, the visit provided an occasion for staff from the two organizations to discuss opportunities for further collaboration.
