Talk: SDGs in an Aging World

    As part of her activities in Macau, Dr Moon Choi will give an introduction about social gerontology and KAIST Aging and Technology Policy Lab (AT Policy Lab). Recent research projects will be presented with suggestions for collaborative work between the UNU Institute in Macau and AT Policy Lab. The talk will be followed by a questions and answers session, and open discussion.

    SHORT BIO
    Moon Choi is an Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Science and Technology Policy at KAIST. She has received her Ph.D. in Social Welfare from Case Western Reserve University Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences and completed her two-year postdoctoral training in epidemiology at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. Before joining KAIST in 2014, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work and also interned at United Nations Secretariat Department of Economic and Social Affairs Office of the Focal Point for Women.

    Her research focuses on gerontology and technology. Dr. Choi has published in the areas of senior transportation and health disparities in later life with a focus on gender and racial inequality. She has founded and run a research group called Aging and Technology Policy Lab.
